You need the thaumium gear, among other things.I do not understand AX's objection to having the grindstone automated. Extend the signal to the automatic arm of your choice. As in not telling me that I need to play FTB Bah! Comparator from the grindstone itself will output a signal if there is anything in it.
This was important because leaving the robotic arm on all the time would inevitably result in overtorquing the handle and breaking it once the grindstone ran out of things to grind.
A while back, he found that Factorization's robotic arm thing (whatever it's called) works on the grindstone handle, and he was able to automate it by using a comparator to detect when there are items in the grindstone and turn the arm on.
Easy automated grinding.

Please make sure you are posting in the correct place. I was just talking about this with my friend at school the other day, and I thought turtles should be able to do the job. It is a great early game alternative to the Macerator or the Pulverizer, but it is powered manually, making ore grinding a tedious process.In order to use it, a Wooden Crank must be put on top of the Grindstone.
but of course I still found a way. But when it is a native item to its own mod no configs should be needed outside what the makers orginal idea.

The Quartz Grindstone is a block added by Applied Energistics 2.It is used to grind Certus Quartz Crystals, Nether Quartz, and Fluix Crystals into Certus Quartz Dust, Nether Quartz Dust, and Fluix Crystal Dust respectively.

Indeed. Bah! I found a freeware "mouse clicker" which I could tell it exactly where on the screen to click, and how often. Sit kid down.

Yeah those mouse buttons are slippery bastards! You could also use a macro gaming mouse (i use the razer naga epic) or heck even a Auto Hotkey script (takes like 10 sec to figure out)
